Enabling a closed anthropogenic carbon cycle allows fuels and chemicals to be produced sustainably from CO₂ rather than extracted from the ground. By converting unavoidable industrial emissions into high-value carbon products, this approach supports net-zero pathways across the economy while strengthening regional energy security and reducing dependence on fossil resources.

Decarbonizing Aviation

Aviation is a hard-to-abate sector facing increasing pressure to decarbonize, yet alternatives to fossil jet fuel remain limited. With few new near-term propulsion options, long aircraft lifetimes, and the scale of global aviation demand, the sector requires scalable, cost-competitive drop-in fuels that can be deployed immediately and integrate with existing aircraft, fuel logistics, and airport infrastructure.

Integrated CO₂ to e-Fuel

We are building a fully integrated platform that converts industrial CO₂ and water into e-fuels using renewable electricity. Our proprietary low-temperature co-electrolyzer enables efficient, single-step syngas production directly integrated with on-site Fischer–Tropsch synthesis. By combining high efficiency with modular system integration, we enable scalable, cost-effective e-fuel production.

From Fundamental Research to Industrial Scale

Origin

ElectroFueled builds on years of pioneering research on electrochemical CO₂ reduction at EPFL. Feasibility studies and experimental validation of our co-electrolysis approach were conducted there, beginning in 2023.

IP Position

Our proprietary co-electrolysis system, protected by three wholly owned patent families, reliably converts CO₂ and H₂O into syngas using renewable electricity, forming the core of our technology platform.

Our Vision

We plan to integrate our technology with large CO₂-producing industrial sites to produce the e-fuel needed to support sustainable aviation, leveraging existing infrastructure wherever CO₂, water, and clean electricity are available.
